Creative Director Al, tells us about his stint as a judge for an international photography and videography awards.

Earlier this year I was invited to be a judge for the prestigious Endorphin Awards. The awards were created to celebrate the talent of the most passionate and talented sports and outdoor photographers and filmmakers worldwide. As you would expect, the entry standard was very high and a significant amount of invested time was needed to give each entry good consideration.

Entries were split into 4 categories – Photo, Commercial, Artistic Work & Documentary.

It was the first year that the competition had been opened up to still photography and the entries were strong! A selection below:

WINNERS

Commercial

Had to be ordered by a brand for promotion, service or product.

WINNER

Artistic Work

Personal or possibly supported or sponsored by a brand. Not directly promoting a service or a product.

WINNER

Documentary

Judging competitions like these are both difficult and inspiring. There are truly some magnificent talents out there, which makes choosing all the more difficult. I enjoyed being involved and look forward to hopefully getting the opportunity again next year.
