Following a whirlwind trip to the National Running Show in Birmingham, Ollie recaps on 10 key moments from a weekend that truly showcased all things running.
- The energy around running was at an all-time high. From the couch-to-5km crew to ultra athletes, the stoke was real.
- Merrell, Jonathan Quint & team drew in the crowds with hero trail shoe try-ons and expert advice.
- It was great to catch up with the Running Industry Alliance (RIA) community and see its members out in force.
- Big thanks to Jason Markk for sprucing up my Moabs! Big things ahead in hike & run for these guys.
- Good to see Sweaty Betty back with a packed stand and standout talks.
- I’m a big fan of keeping things simple, especially with activations. Simple stuff like spin-to-wins and coded boxes still draw in the crowds.
- Nice work Andy Baddeley & The Running Channel—loved the arcade grabber and ‘Running is….’ chalkboard! High-performance tech is becoming even more accessible, with brands like FLOWBIO coming to market with accurate hydration monitoring for the masses.
- Nutrition brands were out in force. Puresport cut through the noise nicely with a clean aesthetic and a nostalgic touch.
- Shout-out to JOG ON & Tony Piedade for championing footwear recycling.
- And how could we not mention Sophie Power for smashing the Guinness World Record for the longest treadmill run in 48 hours? Kudos, Sophie!
Until next time, NRS.
