Codestone are a leading provider of IT solutions and provide turnkey results for their clients using industry-leading technologies. Their clients include iconic brands such as Virgin and Pinewood Studios. Established in 1997 and with offices in Poole, London and Manchester, they are the only UK Company to hold Gold Partnerships with SAP (Business One), Citrix and Microsoft.

The Challenge

Codestone challenged Brandwave’s to develop a distinctive trade show stand concept to be employed at The Business Show in London’s Olympia. In a largely undifferentiated industry where many of their key competitors were using the same marketing and sales approach, Codestone wanted to stand out by refocusing on their unique people-focused ethos and love of sports. The stand needed to differentiate Codestone from their competitors and entice new customers into joining the Cloud-based IT revolution.

The Result

The business world and Formula 1 have many parallels; the ability to make important decisions at speed and to understand the competitive landscape is essential. Prompted by this rhetoric, Brandwave developed a number of activation ideas in-keeping with this Formula 1 theme, which gave the exhibition stand a unique and engaging look and feel. Codestone employed a branded supersize scalextric track on the stand, ran a competition throughout the day to win tickets to the British Grand Prix, and gave away Williams F1 merchandise.

The Formula 1 theme was so successful that Codestone extended its roll out during their annual SAP Business One User Day, which took place at Williams Martini Racing Headquarters. Brandwave were tasked to create a short movie of the day to capture the atmosphere and day’s events, ensuring that the video was visually in line with Codestone’s existing brand movie. Working with Brandwave over the last 3 years has been inspirational. They have an energy and creative flare that really challenged us to present our business in a way we hadn’t previously thought possible.
