Brandwave Coffee Bar

As lockdown loomed and offices closed, face to face meetings and events across the world became a distant, but sought after memory. Even in the most turbulent of times, it’s not about what can’t be done, but more what can be.

With the Brandwave crew and thousands of other sports industry professionals working from home full-time and craving some much needed interaction, a meeting was put in the diary. The agenda – ‘How do we adapt to this situation and embrace the new working from home culture?’.

The unanimous decision – create a virtual coffee bar that brings the industry together and facilitates conversations that simply need to happen.

The Outcome

Fast forward to today, Coffee Bar has evolved into a fully-fledged digital event series and global community of industry folk and marketing minds.

It has brought the sports, outdoor and fitness industries together to discuss multiple themes and welcomed co-hosts from brands including:

  • adidas Outdoor
  • Finisterre
  • PADI
  • Technogym
  • STRAVA
  • Les Mills
  • YETI
  • Amazon
  • Rapha

Each hour-long session always attracts a great crowd from across different markets and provides a good opportunity to meet others, share ideas and link up afterwards.

Coffee Bar is an informal, invite only format hosted regularly throughout the year so if you’re interested in attending a future event, please contact the team:

The Brandwave Coffee Bar has been a refreshing way to meet, interact and stay connected with like-minded professionals on a regular basis. The ability to have an informal 1 hour conversation on a focus topic related to Brand and Marcomms, has not only been a welcomed appointment in my calendar but one I always look forward to. Long may the Coffee Bar continue - Online and Offline.

Love the coffee bar format - it's like attending a trade show, but without the hassle, PLUS - no travel, crappy hotels, zero expenses - just the good bits of hanging out and talking with great people.

As a huge fan of trade shows, meeting new contacts are key. I've found these Coffee Bar's vital - off the back of them I've started dealing on a one to one with many attendees for future partnerships.
