As 2024 comes to a close, we reflect on the incredible milestones and memorable moments that defined our year.
From launching groundbreaking campaigns to fostering meaningful partnerships, this year has been one of growth, creativity, and impact. Join us as we look back on some of our highlights…
Evolving Our Identity
The sports industry is constantly evolving, challenging brands to adapt and refine their visual identities to remain relevant.
We embraced this challenge by strategically evolving our own visual identity at the beginning of 2024. Our approach prioritised evolution over revolution, aiming to refresh and reinvigorate while preserving our brand equity and everything we loved about our previous visual entity.
NetworkB
Back in March, we hosted the latest edition of NetworkB at Red Bull’s iconic London headquarters, bringing together some of the most influential voices in the sports industry. The day was dedicated to exploring how insights shape brand strategy and how we, as marketeers, can use data to really take our marketing to the next level.
We were joined by over 80 attendees from more than 60 leading sport and outdoor brands, as we hosted sessions in partnership with Strava, Les Mills and Red Bull.
Supporting Our Charity Partners
This year, we proudly continued our longstanding partnership with the Youth Adventure Trust, providing support to help them in their mission to inspire and empower young people through outdoor adventures.
We also collaborated with the team at the Alpine Run Project, an initiative dedicated to empowering young people growing up in inner cities to experience the power of trail running and the great outdoors.
Client Round Up
Throughout this year, we continued our work with long-standing clients and introduced a few new ones too!
BrandLAB On Tour
This year, BrandLAB took centre stage at both ISPO Munich and the Blue Earth Summit in London.
Dan was joined by expert panellists from Merrell, Finisterre, Patagonia, Sympatex, Kendal Mountain Festival and Sweaty Betty, leading discussions on all things sustainability.
The New Brandwave HQ
Still based on the South Coast of the UK and just minutes from the water (with a great outdoor space to practice our volleyball skills), a major milestone for us this year was settling into our brand-new studio.
Bahrain Surf Park – Club Hawaii Experience
Our biggest launch to date came in October of this year with the official announcement of Bahrain Surf Park – Club Hawaii Experience. The launch featured on the front cover of all of the local news outlets in Bahrain and reached over 450 million people across the world.
Coffee Bars… Digital & LIVE
Our digital Coffee Bar series – created during lockdown as a way to connect marketing minds and industry leaders – has now grown into a thriving global community.
Dan was joined by expert panellists from Merrell, Finisterre, Patagonia, Sympatex, Kendal Mountain Festival.
We also hosted our first ever LIVE edition at Kendal Mountain Festival in partnership with Merrell, We Go Outside Too and Soft Girls Who Hike!
Team Activities
As always, 2024 was packed with team sports and individual challenges; including paddleboard safaris, group outings, multiple races and some punchy cycling challenges… and with multiple marathon places already confirmed next year, there’s plenty more to come in 2025!
