Where to begin?
Brandwave’s B Corp journey started before B Corp was even founded! Since our conception in 2006, our mission has centred around the power of sport as a catalyst for positive change, something that remains unchanged and absolutely fundamental to the business, 18 years later.
As a team of sport and outdoor enthusiasts, we view our planet as more than just a place we inhabit – it’s our playground! We’ve always been committed to honouring it, whether that’s through the clients we work with, or the charities and causes we support.
At Brandwave, our primary focus is to establish authentic and meaningful connections between brands and consumers, fostering a profound appreciation for physical activity and the natural environment.
Putting a spotlight on the transformative power of sport is in our DNA. So we thought ‘hey’… let’s make this commitment to people and the planet official!
Turning back the clock to 2023
Fresh back from maternity leave with a new dual role, which included the development of certain areas of our company, I set out on a mission to refresh our internal policies and practices to ensure they were in line with the company we wanted to be in 2024 and beyond.
With an eye on the future, we wanted a framework to track ourselves against, measuring our current ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) performance and setting improvement goals for the future.
For us, the B Corp impact assessment ticked all of these boxes, and provided us with an amazing roadmap for our journey and continual progression.
